Aviation maintenance technicians play an important role in keeping aircraft safe and ready to fly. This program prepares you for Federal Aviation Administration certification which allows a mechanic to inspect and maintain U.S.-registered civil aircraft. Through hands-on training you ll learn to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft structure and aircraft engines. You ll also learn the details of maintenance documentation, recordkeeping and certification, as well as how to read technical drawings and diagrams. A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.
This program is offered
3 weeks prior to a semester beginning in either August for fall or January for spring.

FVTC Teaching & Learning Center - tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Science, Reading and study skills, writing and study groups.
Tuition and fees are subject to change. Costs may not include all books or all materials and supplies.Some textbook costs may be included in the estimated program cost.
Refunds are processed according to the WTCS refund policy. Wisconsin Technical College 10.08, Wisconsin Administrative Code, establishes the requirements for district policies and procedures related to student fee refunds. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the class through Enrollment Services or online. FVTC will not drop any classes for students for nonpayment or for failure to attend any portion of the class. All references to student fees mean applicable
